Basketball Official Certification Course Announced
Rockland, Mass. - Plymouth County District Board 54 IAABO will
begin its 2009 pre-examination basketball rules clinic with an
orientation session on Thursday, October 15th from
7:00-9:00 PM in the cafeteria of Rockland High School, 52 MacKinlay
Way, Rockland, MA.
Prospective candidates 18 years of age or older are welcome to
enroll in this certification course. This 16-session program
will be conducted by veteran sports official, Mr. John Karo, from
7:00-9:00 PM on the following dates:
October: 15, 20, 22, 27, 29
November: 3, 5, 10, 12, 16, 18, 23, 24, 30
December: 3, 5
The $150.00 registration fee is payable in person prior to the
third clinic date.
Successful completion of this course, which includes both a
written examination and a floor test, will certify the candidate as
a credentialed basketball referee with the International
Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO).
