Registration Now Open for 2012 ECAC Convention & Trade Show in Groton, Conn.
CENTERVILLE, Mass.--Registration is now available for the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Convention and Trade Show, which will be held Saturday, Sept. 29 to Tuesday, Oct. 2 at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton, Conn.

Programming highlights of the 24th annual ECAC Convention include Commissioner Rudy Keeling's Keynote address, an officiating clinic, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Symposium, officiating roundtable discussions with administrators, exhibitor hall hours, the ECAC Honors Dinner presented by Jostens, professional development opportunities, ECAC league meetings, an ECAC clambake reception/dinner, a delegate reception at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa, and featured speakers.
Renowned speaker Dr. Donna Lopiano, who is a consultant for Sports Management Resources, will address ECAC delegates on the 40th anniversary of Title IX legislation. A long-time women's athletics director at the University of Texas at Austin, Lopiano is the former Chief Executive Officer of the Women’s Sports Foundation (1992-2007) and was named one of “The 10 Most Powerful Women in Sports” by Fox Sports. The Sporting News has repeatedly listed her as one of “The 100 Most Influential People in Sports.” She has been nationally and internationally recognized for her leadership advocating for gender equity in sports by the International Olympic Committee, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Association for Girls and Women in Sports, the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
