ECAC Announces Relaunch of Twitter Feed for Fall Championships

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference announces the re-launch of its official ECAC Twitter page.  Striving to increase the interaction level with followers and fans, the ECAC has enriched and upgraded the Twitter page to increase the exposure of news, award announcements, and the official Twitter home of the ECAC Championships.

The Twitter account @ECACChamps is the official ECAC Twitter account.

Powered by www.ecac.org and www.ecacsports.com, two of the conference’s four web sites, the ECAC’s Twitter page will continuously update fans and member institutions of all the activities of the country’s largest and only multi-divisional conference.

A one-stop source of all ECAC information, the Twitter account will be operated by the ECAC communications offices on Cape Cod.  With ECAC Fall Championships approaching quickly, the ECAC Twitter page will be the premier location to get up-to-the-minute information on all fall championships.

Beginning on Monday, November 7, the official ECAC Twitter page will be the social media home for Championship Central.   On selection Monday, only followers of the official ECAC Twitter page and fans of the official ECAC Facebook page will have access to the seedings for all Division III Soccer, Field Hockey and Volleyball Championships before anyone else.

On Quarterfinal Wednesday, keep it locked onto the official ECAC Twitter page for all announcements regarding the Final Four for all ECAC Championships.  Locations of championship weekend will be announced initially through ecac.org and the official Twitter page.  Finally, on championship weekend, stay updated with all of the exciting action as the championship results will be announced through Twitter prior to the posted game recaps and box scores on ecacsports.com

The ECAC’s Twitter page will also be the go-to spot for all ECAC player of the week news.  All player of the week releases will be revealed through the Twitter page when they are published on www.ecacsports.com.  All news releases from www.ecac.org and www.ecacsports.com, including the announcements of the weekly Lambert Meadowlands football poll, will also be announced via @ECACChamps.

Fans and colleagues are encouraged to follow the ECAC on Twitter for conference information instantly.  In addition, you are invited to follow the five ECAC hockey leagues, located at the account @ECACDIIIHockey, and "like" the official Facebook page of the ECAC (www.facebook.com/ECACSports) to stay connected to the ECAC.
