The Director of Athletics is responsible for managing Intercollegiate Athletics, Physical Education, Intramurals and Recreation, the Fitness Center, the athletics budget, and “Friends of Saxon Athletics” fundraising. The Director supervises all full- and part-time coaches and field athletic trainers, 1 ½ secretaries, a facilities manager, and several graduate assistants, interns and work-study students. AU has 19 Division III NCAA intercollegiate varsity sports in the Empire 8 conference.
